Bakersfield, California—A man was killed and multiple others were wounded in a shooting on Chandler Court near Wilson Road on Sunday, before 1 a.m. This information was confirmed by Bakersfield Police.
When the police arrived they found one victim on the scene and witnesses reported more victims had gone to the hospital.
Police have not identified the names of the victims yet. But according to officials four males and one female were wounded in the shooting. The female representative was injured and in critical condition.
Luckily, three other men suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The tragedy happened while the victims were at a gathering at an apartment located on the 2600 block of Chandler Court, near Wilson Road in southwest Bakersfield.
This is what the witnesses said. At least 15 people were at the place of crime, in the garage of the apartment, when the suspect opened the fire.
There is no information available on the suspect at this time.
The investigation is still underway. Bakersfield is investigating the shooting as a homicide.
