Ram ProMaster 2022 commercial van does boast a much new driver-assistance technology. This includes important infotainment features and some noteworthy mechanics improvements.

Ram ProMaster Outward Appearance

The dashboard is undergoing a big transformation, while Promaster’s outward appearance is really unchanged. Drastically redesigned is the van’s center stack. It now comes with a newly standard 7.0-inch touchscreen replacing the old 5.0-inch unit. In fact, there is an even larger 10.0-inch touchscreen that is now available, too. Therefore, there are both upgraded systems that feature Uconnect5 software, which does enable over-the-air updates. This includes a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa voice assistant, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. In addition, there are now more charging ports. They include two USB and two USB Type-C ports. Plus, a 115-volt outlet and a wireless device charger are also available.

Infotainment Interfaces

The center stack does welcome a revised HVAC controls along with a new infotainment interface. It looks sleeker than the old rotary knobs. There is also a new panel of switches for the hazard lights, traction-control system plus more. Then there is a more exciting and more pronounced shifter lever. Also, a new steering wheel is adorned with more physical controls. In fact, the driver now faces a modernized instrument panel with either a 3.5- or 7.0-inch digital display. There is an electronic parking brake, push-button start, and keyless entry for all doors are brand-new additions. In fact, there’s a new Crew Van package that is including the second row of seats that are for up to three passengers. Yet it’s all only available for cargo vans.

Driver-Assistance Technology

In terms of driver-assistance technology, the 2022 ProMaster has added several new ones. The models last year have introduced a small amount of active safety equipment. This includes an automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring. In addition, the roster of available tech has dramatically grown and taken off. In fact, it includes a 360-degree camera. Plus automatic high-beam headlights. As well as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality. There are front parking sensors and more.
