BAKERSFIELD, California — A robber was shot by a security officer guard Thursday night at a Metro PCS store on Chester Avenue, police said.
Shortly before 6 p.m., at around 5:57 p.m., two suspects entered Metro PCS with guns. It was near the night; the robbers entered the store. After that, they were pointing a gun at employees and shoppers. According to police, they were asking for the cashier’s money.
An armed security officer guard stepped in to stop the robbery and shot at the robbers. According to the news release, he hit two individuals who were struck by gunfire and were transported to local hospitals.
No further information is available about the conditions of the victims, the hospital doesn’t have any information at this moment.
Police said, a shopper was injured as well but there is no information on how that person was hurt.
At this moment Chester Avenue is closed temporary from 10th Street to 11th Street.
