Shafter, Calif. (Bakersfield) – A human body was found in Shafter Canal on August 25, Friday morning.
Police are investigating the case with the support of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office search-and-rescue volunteers.
Utility workers marked the body after 7 a.m. authorities said.
Identification will come from the office of coroner.
