At 7:30 p.m. EST tonight, Chevrolet will unveil the highly anticipated 2025 Corvette ZR1. This latest model is expected to be the most exhilarating Corvette yet, continuing the tradition of pushing performance boundaries with each generation.
Over its 71-year history, the Corvette has been synonymous with innovation and progress. While the car’s design and engine layout have evolved significantly over the years, the commitment to enhancing performance has been a constant. Tonight’s reveal of the 2025 Corvette ZR1 promises to uphold this legacy.

The last ZR1, part of the seventh generation, set new standards by outclassing its predecessors. Equipped with a supercharged LT5 6.2-liter V-8 engine, the C7 ZR1 delivered an astounding 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque. In testing, it accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds and reached a top speed of 212 mph. The optional ZTK Performance package reduced the top speed to 202 mph but increased downforce to 950 pounds, enhancing its track capabilities.
Prior to the C7, the C6 ZR1 featured a 638-horsepower supercharged LS9 6.2-liter V-8, a significant leap from the C4 ZR1. The C4 model had a naturally aspirated LT5 5.7-liter V-8, producing between 375 and 405 horsepower, depending on the year.
Details about the ZR1 of the C8 generation remain closely guarded. However, Chevrolet has released a teaser video offering glimpses of the car’s silhouette and the sound of its exhaust. Given the performance of the C8 Z06, it’s expected that the engineers at Chevy have crafted a sports car that is more thrilling than ever.
