Terms and Conditions

Bakersfield Car Transport is a licensed and bonded broker and carrier. The Terms and Conditions presented on this page are an agreement between the Client and the Company (Bakersfield Car Transport) and are a part of every order. The Company can decline or cancel any order at any point without providing an explanation.

The Company can change these Terms and Conditions at any moment without any notice.

 

Shipping

The Company is authorized by the Client to arrange auto shipping from the point of origin to the point of destination as specified in the order form.

Delivery is door-to-door unless otherwise is noted in the order. As some areas do not have enough space for a truck to maneuver or not safe for loading and unloading, other locations close to the original points of origin/destination can be chosen after discussing with the Client.

It is the Client’s responsibility to prepare the vehicle for transportation. If there are any loose parts or accessories, they must be secured or removed prior the pick-up. Should any part fall off or damage a car in the process of transportation, it is the Client’s responsibility and is not covered by the carrier’s insurance.

Inspection will be performed on vehicles at the pick-up and drop-off by both the Client and the Company’s carrier. All the existing damage must be noted in the Bill of Lading. If the Bill of Lading is signed and no damage is noted at the moment of delivery, it means the Carrier is not responsible for the vehicle anymore.

The Company’s carrier has $1 million in liability insurance and $250,000 in cargo insurance. While the car is in the transit, it is covered by the carrier’s insurance as required by law. Claims must be filed at the moment of delivery and submitted to the carrier in writing.

All the dates of transportation are estimated.

The items inside the vehicle are not insured by the carrier’s insurance and are not the carrier’s responsibility.

 

Payment

Any rental fees are not the Company’s responsibility.

To place an order with the Company, a minimum deposit of $100 is required. The other part of the payment is paid to the carrier at the time of delivery.

No cancellation fee as long as the order is cancelled no later than 24 prior the estimated delivery date.
